Building or buying a pot for dragon fruit cuttings is very simple and easily done. The only thing that is important to be put is a black soil for a better result and faster growth for your dragon fruit. There are various ways of planting a dragon fruit but the easiest by far is using dragon fruit cuttings since it has a 95% chance of survival but in my experience it always survives and grows easily.

Another method would be using the dragon fruit seeds but I prefer the dragon fruit cuttings because it is the fastest way for a dragon plant to produce fruits and to do this you need to take some cuttings from an adult dragon fruit at around 2-3 inch or possibly even longer up to 12 inches in length. OK now we start building a pot for our dragon fruit cuttings.

A pot must be able to accommodate the dragon fruit cuttings and with enough space for them to grow. I recommend buying a pot with at least 12 inch in diameter and just place 2-3 dragon fruit cuttings.

Once we had the pot ready, we could place rocks on the first layer of the pot for the trellis to hold on to and then some black soil or rich mixture of soil. Building a trellis is simple or just temporarily use a bamboo stick or a wood at around 4-5 feet then guide the dragon fruit cuttings when it grows.

We are now ready to plant our dragon fruit cuttings, I recommend to just put 2 dragon fruit cuttings or 1 because it would grow and spread essentially. Usually dragon fruit cuttings can take up to 2-3 years before it could bear a fruit while dragon fruit seeds takes longer at 3-5 years well depending on the conditions on how it was planted well and the climate.
